Welcome to Animal Wonderland! We've done some Beta Testing
and continue future planning. Additional pictures are being received by
the site owner in which the beta testing should happen. There's a lot of
work yet to be done.
Please understand, as a result of this work, this website
is certainly not yet finalized in stone! Not only that, but
after our launch we have additional features planned to be added. If we can
make miles of smiles from this, it's true icing on the cake! For starters, we'll be after two things.. Your pet or
companion animal's picture and a story which relates directly to the animal.
Dogs
and Cats get the most attention, but we'll go as deep as fish and as
large as horses. Remember too, you will be afforded numerous privacy
features including abbreviating your name to just initials if you
desire, and the City and even your State can be omitted, yet your
general region (Northeast, Southeast, Southwest, etc.) will be
shown. We let YOU place the power of privacy you choose to allow and
strongly encourage you to consider this when submitting your pet's
story to go with it's picture(s). These features are to help prevent
pet abductions which are very problematic, especially in the cities.
We want to help you tell your story and feature your pet, yet do so
safely where we don't contribute to this disgusting, ongoing
problem.
We kindly insist you do not start an account or use an
existing account to create a profile for either a mythical or
non-existent animal (no cartoons or unicorns - third party copyright
infringement issues are part of this reasoning) OR any animal you
plan to slaughter. We should safely assume any animal you submit
is real and a cherished companion, not for human
consumption. We reserve the right to immediately remove any
entries which violate this humble request, regardless if you have a
paid account or not!
With that out of the way, check back frequently and you may
get to catch some of our progress going forward. We presently do not
use Facebook or maintain any mailing list, but may reconsider depending on demand, however, we
use X.com and can receive posts via @AWPetWeb which is not yet a
verified account as of this submission. At
the present time, we are not "following" anyone using X, but
we are collecting information from chosen sources we plan to follow
when we announce our launch. We will announce our launch both here
and via X. There is a possibility of a change from X to another social
media outlet if warranted and announced here.
